Top Three Ways To Implement Your Health Goals in 2023

With 2023 in full swing, we know you’re just itching to create your New Year’s resolution. Many of us use resolutions as an opportunity to refocus on health and wellness. Because fitness goals are especially important, you must ask yourself how you will maintain them. Most people striving to implement their fitness goals get a clean burst of energy at the beginning of the New Year, and then three to four weeks into it, they end up back on the couch watching Netflix. If you’re sick of this cycle, it’s time to change. Here are three ways you can implement your health goals in 2023.

Sketch Out Your Goals in Detail

Before heading to the gym and attempting to deadlift a ton of weights, take some time to sketch out what you want to accomplish on a smaller scale. Don’t just say, “I want to lose 50 pounds in 6 months.” Instead, take real action, like hiring a personal trainer and nutritionist with whom you can discuss your fitness goals and ask yourself a few questions. How can you break those 50 pounds down over those 6 months? That’s roughly 8 pounds a month. That further breaks down to 2 pounds per week. This is more than realistic, but how will you get there? How will you structure your diet? What muscle groups will you target? Sketching out all these things will make your life easier and make you more prone to keeping up with your health goals.

Start Small

You’ll want to start implementing dietary and fitness changes little by little and not all at once. Instead of your morning coffee with a ton of sugar, why not take advantage of powdered mushroom alternatives on the market? For instance, there are a ton of benefits for both Turkey Tail and Lion’s mane mushrooms, including increased energy. So why not use the powdered version in your water as a supplement? When you go to the gym, start with 20-pound weights rather than 60. If you’re doing cardio, start walking longer and gradually increasing the intensity. Starting small is the key to longevity when implementing your health goals in 2023 and beyond.

Stay Motivated

It’s easy to lose the fire in your belly when you’ve had a tough day at work or when you’re tired after a long day with the kids. You won’t always feel motivated to continue your health journey, but it’s important that you stoke the flames every once in a while. One of the first things you need to do when you set any goal is to remember why you set the goal in the first place. Do you have health concerns? Want to challenge yourself? Want to run a marathon? These things matter, and it’s up to you to figure out what works. Hopefully, these tips will help you do just that!
